Spellsouls is a real-time PvP battle arena game developed by Nordeus.
My work on the project covered battleground design, character design, spell card illustration, lore development, outsource feedback and style guide creation.
Visual development for an action RPG game at Nordeus. The goal was to create a no.1 game in the action RPG genre. We developed the game to a company-playable level with a small team.
My role involved pulling together the art vision for the game, getting the team aligned on the art direction, supporting the prototypes with previsualizations, developing the world of the game, creating exploratory concepts and creating moodboards for user-testing and art positioning.
The UI/UX designer, Richard Merrick, has summarised our visual development process here: Link
I was asked to help a game development team at Nordeus with ideas and direction for their match-3 game.
I showed the team how to put together moodboards and designed characters and a piece of key art to illustrate the process of distilling the art vision for the game.

The game is available to play on iOS and Android.
